Common rubber materials — FFKM characteristics introduction

FFKM definition: Perfluorinated rubber refers to the terpolymer of perfluorinated (methyl vinyl) ether, tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoroethylene ether. It is also called perfluoroether rubber.

FFKM characteristics: It has the thermal and chemical stability of elasticity and polytetrafluoroethylene. The long-term working temperature is – 39~288 ℃, and the short-term working temperature can reach 315 ℃. Under the brittleness temperature, it is still plastic, hard but not brittle, and can be bent. It is stable for all chemicals except for swelling in fluorinated solvents.

FFKM application: poor processing performance. It can be used in situations where fluororubber is incompetent and the conditions are harsh. It is used to make seals resistant to various media, such as rocket fuel, umbilical cord, oxidant, nitrogen tetroxide, fuming nitric acid, etc., for aerospace, aviation, chemical, petroleum, nuclear and other industrial sectors.

Other advantages of FFKM:

In addition to excellent chemical resistance and heat resistance, the product is homogeneous, and the surface is free from penetration, cracking and pinholes. These features can improve the sealing performance, prolong the operation cycle and effectively reduce the maintenance cost.

Ningbo Yokey Precision Technology Co., Ltd give you more choose in FFKM, we can customize the chemical, high temperature resistance, insulation, soft hardness, ozone resistance, etc.
